Hello and welcome to the Academic Skills Team pages!

Here at Arden we recognise that at some point in your academic journey you are likely to need support in developing your academic skills. If you are embarking on a Higher Education programme for the first time, or returning to study after a break then some aspects of how to write academically might be new to you or you may just need a refresher.

The Academic Skills team are a friendly and supportive bunch of tutors who are here to help you with all areas of your academic skills development from how to use the library to research your assignments and reference your sources, to critical thinking and developing your academic writing skills. The team deliver workshops throughout the academic year as well as one-to-one appointments. The support is available in centre and online and in the evening and weekend as well so you can book in for a time that suits you best.

If you need more information, please get in touch with us by emailing study-skills@arden.ac.uk
