Welcome to Day #14 of the Arden Library Appvent Calendar and today we’re sharing one of our favourite educational resources, TED Talks!

TED is an international organisation which shares knowledge through short talks and presentations by expert speakers, informing and educating audiences around the world.

Scientists, researchers, technologists, business leaders, artists, designers and other world experts present “Ideas Worth Spreading” (innovative research in their fields) on the TED stage. These TED Talks are filmed at conferences and similar events and every talk delivered at a TED event is peer reviewed for publication on TED.com.

Since 2006, TED has attracted an international following of millions, with the talks now viewed more than 3 billion times annually.

TED now also has podcasts, too. The TED Audio Collective - a collection of podcasts across subjects from psychology and design to science and technology, sharing today’s most exciting ideas. You can subscribe, follow, favourite or just listen, and these are accessible across devices and via both Apple Podcasts and the TED Android app.

We love TED as a quick, easy way to learn something new in 10-15 minutes a day! It’s a great way to supplement your learning on your modules, as well as keep your mind active during the holiday periods – so why take a look at their collection here and see what you can discover!

Happy learning!
